DAFF import permit. Mickleham PEQ booking. RNATT timing. IATA RG-12 crate. Your airline. We handle the lot — you sign one form, then meet your dog at Mickleham 30 days later. No dramas.
The two directions are very different beasts. Picking one re-filters the routes and pricing below.
Six things that matter on the days that matter. (We've been on those days a thousand times.)
Sydney-based AU operations and a Bali-based Indonesia team. Same company, same standards, both ends of every flight.
A real pet relocation specialist replies, usually within the hour. AEST and WIB hours both covered.
Itemised PDF quote, fixed-price for the bulk of the package. No mid-process surprises.
We file the import permits ourselves. We've handled the same forms hundreds of times — and we've also handled the rejections.
Vet pickup → airport drop-off → cargo handling → quarantine collection → home delivery. You don't touch a crate unless you want to.
If your dog is brachycephalic and it's December, we'll say so. If your route adds avoidable risk, we'll say that too. We'd rather lose the booking.
Both directions follow the same sequence. The difference is mostly how long step 4 takes — and whether step 8 ends in your living room or at Mickleham.
Tell us species, breed, route, rough date. We tell you what's actually possible.
← we usually reply in <1 hourISO-compliant 15-digit chip. Most pets already have one — we verify the format.
Two doses, minimum 30 days apart. Then a 30-day wait before titer test.
Result must be ≥0.5 IU/ml. For ID→AU this clock starts a 180-day mandatory wait.
↘ this is the long one for ID→AUAustralia needs DAFF import permit + reservation at Mickleham. Indonesia needs Kementan permit + Karantina booking.
Within 5 days of departure. We coordinate with the official government vet.

Every cat or dog entering Australia, regardless of which airport they land at, is moved under DAFF custody to Mickleham, about 30 km north of Melbourne. The mandatory stay is 10 days. Reservations book months in advance.
We lock in your reservation the moment your import permit is approved, not after. We collect your pet from the facility on day 11 and deliver them anywhere in Australia.
Written by their humans, signed by them.

Australia treats the entire approach as a biosecurity exercise. Even pets coming from Indonesia (which is rabies-affected) can't fly direct — they transit through an approved country, currently Singapore, where the export is officially staged.
The single longest leg is the 180-day FAVN waiting period: a rabies titer test must be drawn, returned ≥0.5 IU/ml, and then 180 calendar days must pass before the pet can land in Australia. There's no shortcut. We start your clock the moment you book.
Mickleham is the only post-arrival quarantine facility in Australia for cats and dogs. It's about 30km north of Melbourne. Every pet entering Australia, regardless of arrival airport, is moved to Mickleham for a mandatory 10-day stay.
Reservations book out months ahead — we lock yours in as soon as your import permit is approved. We also handle the pickup and final-leg delivery to your home anywhere in Australia.
Yes. Australia bans five breeds outright: American Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Japanese Tosa, and Perro de Presa Canario. Crossbreeds with significant resemblance can be refused at inspection.
We also strongly advise against flying brachycephalic breeds (Frenchies, Pugs, English Bulldogs, Persian cats) without first reviewing the airline's snub-nose policy and the season — most carriers won't accept them in summer. Talk to us before you book anything.
Indonesia requires a valid import permit from Kementan (the Ministry of Agriculture), an ISO microchip, current rabies vaccination, and a FAVN titer ≥ 0.5 IU/ml taken within the last 12 months.
Karantina (Indonesian quarantine) inspects on arrival. There is no mandatory holding period for pets meeting all requirements — we collect them within hours of landing and deliver to your address in Bali, Jakarta, or wherever you're heading.
Vet coordination, microchip and vaccination verification, government paperwork (both ends), import permit fees, IATA-compliant travel crate, the actual airfreight, manifest documentation, customs/quarantine handling, and door-to-door ground transport on both sides.
What's not included: the rabies vaccinations themselves (most pets already have them), the FAVN blood test (~AUD 250), and any treatment for unrelated medical conditions discovered during the pre-export check.
For ID → AU, no — pets travel as cargo only, with mandatory Singapore transit. You fly separately.
For AU → ID, sometimes. A few carriers accept pets in cabin or as accompanied baggage on certain routes. We'll tell you which combinations are possible for your route and date.
What actually happens during the 10-day post-arrival quarantine.
